Omnibus Update

Update February 4, 2026

Fall 2025 was a big semester for EENE, and we’re already off to a great start for Spring 2026!

  • The SEA Conference in Tampa was a success, and all the economic education sessions were extremely well-attended. Our two papers, “International Insights into the Academic Mindset of Economics Students” and “The Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Economics Courses,” were well-received. The international mindset paper was submitted to IREE at the end of November, and we expect to hear back soon. The GenAI working paper will be posted on SSRN any day, and we will be submitting it to a journal by the end of February.

  • We received our first revise and resubmit for an EENE project paper! “Measuring Academic Mindset in Economics Courses,” is now R&R, and we will be resubmitting by the end of the month.

  • The Journal of Economic Education published “Enabling collaborative research at scale: The Economic Education Network for Experiments (EENE)” in December. This should spread the word about EENE and enable us to take on even more ambitious projects.

  • Our Team Dynamics Randomized Control Trial is in full swing. We have already collected data from 7 courses in the Fall semester and are in the process of collecting data from another 20 courses right now. We are excited to start sharing results as soon as the Spring term ends.

  • The 2026 EENE Annual Meeting is coming soon! The conference will take place on the University of Nevada Las Vegas campus immediately following the conclusion of CTREE. We will meet the afternoon of Friday, May 29 and the morning of May 30.
